Dr. Aditya Suneel Sole

Dr. Aditya Suneel Sole is an Associate Professor at the Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory (Colourlab), Department of Computer Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He currently serves as the Associate Director of CIE Division 1 (Vision and Colour).

Dr. Sole received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from NTNU in 2019. His research focuses on material appearance measurement and modeling, Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) capture, color imaging, 3D printed appearance reproduction, and interdisciplinary visual computing. He has led or played a core role in numerous major research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway and the EU Horizon 2020 program.

A prominent figure in academic exchange, Dr. Sole has delivered invited talks at international venues such as Colour2023 and the MANER conference, and has organized various international conferences, workshops, and short courses. His research findings have been published in leading international journals including The Visual Computer, Optics Express, and the Journal of Manufacturing Processes, establishing his significant academic standing and influence in the fields of color science and visual computing.
