Professor Yoko Mizokami
Professor Yoko Mizokami is a Professor at the Graduate School of Informatics, Chiba University, Japan. She holds prominent international leadership roles, serving as the Associate Director of Division 1 (Vision and Colour) of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), the CIE National Representative for Japan, and a Director of the International Colour Vision Society (ICVS).
With profound expertise in her field, Professor Mizokami’s research spans visual information processing, color engineering, color vision, and color reproduction. Her academic service includes roles as a Guest Editor for the JOSA A feature issue "Color Vision 2025," an Editorial Board Member for Color Research & Application, and a Guest Editor for the Vision Research special issue "Facial Skin Colour and Texture: Measurement, Perception and Computation." Additionally, she serves on the Abstract Review Committee and the Davida Teller Award Committee for the Vision Sciences Society (VSS).
Professor Mizokami’s contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the CSAJ Research Award from the Color Science Association of Japan (2021), the Most Popular Review Award from the Japan Society of Colour Material (2016), and the Konica Minolta Imaging Science Encouragement Award (2015). Her research in vision science engineering, color vision, and illumination recognition holds significant academic influence worldwide.
